He was an associate-expert of the Council of Europe for monitoring prison systems in several countries. As a legal expert, he drafted and co-drafted several Croatian legislative bills. Special areas of his professional interest are criminal law, criminal procedure, misdemeanours, international criminal law, war crimes, international courts and tribunals, human rights, fight against corruption and organised crime.
